Yes. All of our elopement packages include two nights at Wildberry Cottage, giving you time to arrive, settle in and enjoy the countryside before and after your wedding day.

Absolutely. Additional nights may be available, depending on availability around your wedding date. Just let us know when you enquire and we can talk you through the options.

Absolutely. We’re happy to arrange a viewing by appointment, so you can explore the cottage and grounds, see where your ceremony could take place and get a feel for Wildberry Cottage in person.

Wildberry Cottage is tucked away in the countryside in Hamurana, around 20 minutes from central Rotorua — close enough to town, while still feeling wonderfully peaceful and private.

Yes. There is plenty of on-site parking available for you and your guests.

Absolutely. The cottage, mature trees, open paddocks and surrounding countryside offer plenty of beautiful spots for wedding photographs. Our friendly sheep and cattle may even make an appearance! Your photographer is welcome to explore the property with you, and the photographer included in Simply Perfect already knows some of our favourite spots.

Yes. Ceremonies are held outdoors beneath our beautiful established plane tree, surrounded by open countryside and views across the property. It’s a wonderfully peaceful and intimate place to exchange your vows.

We’ll keep a close eye on the forecast in the lead-up to your wedding and make a wet-weather plan with you. For our smallest elopements, the ceremony can move inside Wildberry Cottage, while for celebrations with guests we’ll work with you to find the best option for the conditions on the day.

Yes. You’re welcome to bring your own food and drinks, including a bottle of bubbles to celebrate after your ceremony.

Absolutely. You’re welcome to arrange your own celebrant, photographer or other suppliers if you prefer. Our packages are designed to make planning simple, but we’re happy for you to make the day your own.

We recommend getting in touch as soon as you have a date or season in mind. Because we host only a small number of weddings, availability is limited, but we’re always happy to check shorter-notice dates too.
